Complaints Procedure
Last updated: 10 August 2026
If something is not right, we want to know while we can still fix it. This is exactly what happens when you complain, with the response times we hold ourselves to.
Stage 1: Tell us
Call 07703 295654 or email info@misterelectrics.co.uk. Tell us the job address and what is wrong.
We acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to resolve simple issues within 5 working days, usually by coming back to look. If the fix falls under the 12-month workmanship guarantee, there is no charge.
It helps us move faster if you can include photos of the problem, the date the work was done and any certificate or invoice number.
Stage 2: Put it in writing
If stage 1 does not sort it, email info@misterelectrics.co.uk with the subject line “Complaint”.
We investigate and give you a written outcome within 14 days. If we need longer, for example to get a part or a second opinion, we tell you why and give you a date.
Stage 3: Escalate beyond us
If you are still unhappy, you do not have to take our word for it:
- Our competent person scheme: our notifiable work falls under their complaints and workmanship process. They can independently assess whether the work meets the required standard.
- Independent dispute resolution: An independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider can review the dispute as an alternative to court. We will confirm at the time whether we agree to take part, and the scheme route above is free to use first.
- Consumer advice: the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133 gives free advice and passes reports to Trading Standards.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this procedure affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to work carried out with reasonable care and skill and to repeat performance or a price reduction where it was not. This procedure exists alongside those rights, not instead of them.
